More than 100 speakers will take part in the Structural Biology 2017 event in Zurich, Switzerland

The 9th International Conference on Structural Biology is going to be held for the first time in Europe on September 18, 19 and 20 in Zurich, with the theme ‘Let’s Gear the Future with Structural Biology’

The event will convene more than 100 speakers who will deliver their scientific talks on 12 thematic areas related with structural biology, biophysics, bioinformatics and drug design. The Conference, which anticipates an attendance of 500 people, contemplates the organization of sessions as symposiums, workshops, panels, etc.

Structural Biology 2017 will have some of the most relevant personalities from the industry and scientific community who will share their latest research during plenary sessions and special sessions.

Michael Hennig, Co-founder, CEO and Chairman of the board of leadXpro and Dirksen E. Bussiere, Director of the Structural and Biophysical Chemistry group at Novaritis will be discussing the new developments and advancements in structure based drug discovery. Nebojsa Janjic, Chief Science Officer at SomaLogic will lay a special focus on structural insights from aptamers.

Stephen Soisson, Director of Biochemical Engineering and Structure at Merck Research Laboratories will discuss the structural basis for the activation of fatty acid receptor GPR40. Marta Westwood from UCB Celltech, would lay a focus on strategies to target protein-protein interactions.

David F Sargent, one of the founders of MagnebotiX will discuss his interesting research on Micro robotics for protein crystal harvesting. Tobias Pflüger from NanoTemper Technologies would be conducting a workshop on structural biology and drug development. Apart from these there is a wide collection of variety of talks from academia and industry.

Special Young Researcher Forum slots and Poster Presentation slots are also an attention-grabbing part of the conference.

All those who wish to attend Structural Biology 2017 can make their registration through the conference website, structuralbiology.conferenceseries.com, which will be available until full capacity is reached.
